Rhonda L. Burnell
Professional Photographer
I have been completely fascinated with the art of photography since the age of four. My grandmother instilled the idea that pictures were the only true link between the generations of the past and future; life is short, and memories fade over time. She had created a photographic legacy for my generation, and and the ones to follow. She gave me my very first camera on my 10th Birthday, and so my obsession with photography began.
When I grew up, I successfully began to shoot weddings and senior portraits as a hobby; but I refused to sell myself as a “Professional” photographer, until I had honestly earned the title. At the age of 40, I decided it was time to turn my obsession into a career. I quit my three jobs, went back to college and earned my degree as a “Professional Photographer”; graduating at the top of my class. I now share a studio in Alfred, Maine with classmate & Professional Photographer; E.Rusty Adams. We have several other photographers sharing our studio, and cooperatively we make up the Studio4 Photographers.
